Mala beads (aka Malas or prayer beads) are great meditation aids. Mala beads have been used in Buddhism and Hinduism for centuries.
You can use mala during meditation on breathing (anapana sati meditation) or any other meditation/yoga practice. Hold your mala in your dominant hand, let it go between your middle and index fingers. Starting at the mail bead, which is attached to the tussle, use your thumb to count each smaller bead, pulling it toward you as you inhale and exhale.
